Wearing a few of my everyday basics and some new favorites like this blue Sezane coat, black Aritzia pants (scarf & bag also from Aritzia) and these Miista shoes you've previously seen here, I decided to head toward Colombus Circle for an afternoon with Christina.
Living downtown, I very so often make my way uptown or towards Central Park, but whenever I am able to make time, I love to see and wander around the other side of the city.

On a freezing day in Brooklyn, I decided to warm myself up with nothing more and nothing less than this Custo Barcelona skirt while Neil Aline captured moments, color, essence, light and instances on film throughout our very eventful afternoon together.

Aside from discovering new places, wandering around and trying new things, by far, one of my favorite things in life is meeting new people, specially, when you share the same passion, vision or desire to make dreams a reality.

Cold days are here, and they are here to stay. To warm up I stopped at Cafe La Colombe, the perfect place for a croissant and latte to prepare myself for a walk around the area with Christina, my little short-haired talented friend.
I can't get enough lights around the city, specially at this time of year, it's amazing how they brighten up, in every sense of the word, even the simplest or dullest of places. Very close to Cafe Colombe, you can find one of my favorite places, B Bar and Grill. I haven't eaten there yet, but the place itself is so unique and beautiful, specially at night, and it always serves as guidance to know I'm close to home.

¡Feliz lunes!

Sézane, one of my ultimate favorite french brands, has some beautiful items this winter, this camel coat being one of them. Paired with a perfect basic pair of wet like leather trousers by Lee and some burgundy River Island booties, I am set to go for an everyday winter afternoon.

As most of you might have seen on my instagram, I've been visiting my home, my dear Lima, Perú.
As an introduction to my Perú series, I wanted to share these pictures Hugo, my friend Aileen and I took around Barranco, one of the most unique, beautiful and picturesque areas in Lima.

If I could sum up Marrakech in one word, it would probably be life.
So much color, kindness, humbleness, nature, culture, so many smells and textures and vibrance.

Our second home in Marrakech was Riad Jaaneman, a real treasure right in between everything you want to see and everywhere you want to go,
To arrive, you have to walk through some small streets right in the middle of the city.
At first, these streets seem like a labyrinth where you may end up lost, but at the end of the street, you walk through a door and enter one of the most beautiful places you can imagine.
Thank you, everyone, for being so incredibly nice, helpful and for taking care of the most minimum detail.
I take with me not only a beautiful stay but great friends.

 photo IMG_0101JPG_effected_zps30013502.jpg

Last week, I visited one of my favorite places on earth: MARRAKECH.
As traveling is one of the greatest experiences and teachers, so is everything that comes within, like seeing and getting to know beautiful places and people.
My adventure partner this time was my friend Ana Cristina.
Our first stop was Le Cinq Djellabas, an incredible Boutique Hotel located in The Palmeraie, a few minutes away from the center and all the touristy sites.
It is a great place to get away, relax, but still be minutes away from all the noise.
Surrounded by literally nothing but nature, I couldn't have felt more at peace.

I love the combination of black, silver and blue.
At first, I thought of combining this River Island skirt with another pair of yellow River Island shoes (that I will soon show you), but, as I am a huge fan of combining dressy items, or brights colors with more subtle and basic items, I went for my 10 year old converse.

One of the best things you can share with a person is a connection, and when there's a connection when it comes to capturing a moment, your soul, your essence, amazing things like these photographs happen.
Adriana Roslin, a beautiful person, inside and out, came out with this result after a short but nice afternoon we spent together.

Texture is one of the things that can make something so basic as black pants and a grey sweater seem more interesting.
Grey and black is always a combination I love to put together.
The talented Adriana Roslin and I got together in one of my favorite spots to immortalize a grey day in Madrid wearing my favorite grey sweater and pair of black oxfords.

Leather jackets have always been a basic in my wardrobe. Specifically this Gerard Darel jacket has been a partner in crime of mine for a few good years now.
Something I didn't think I'd go back to using after I finished everything school related, where backpacks, but, here I am.
Never say never... (right, Justin?)
Just kidding...

As most of you might already know, fall is my favorite season.
The months of October and November especially have this kind of magic that I can't seem to put into words.
Along with pumpkin scented candles and chai tea lattes, fall essentials are the best essentials. Trench coats, school shoes, and mom jeans are some of the most comfortable, easy yet cool items to combine outfits with.
This outfit in particular is something you can see me wear a little too often in these months.

Back in the days, at the time that New Jersey was the place I called home, I used to be a girl scout. Dressing up like this made me transfer in time and feel like I could go door to door selling mint chocolate cookies.
After having sushi at MINABO, one of my favorite sushi spots in Madrid, my girls scout outfit and I went for a walk stoping for a lemon pie at one of Madrid's sweetest corners, Mama Framboise.

To put an end to this summer madness posting, and to get back to terms with wearing actual outfits rather than bikinis all day long, here is a long overdue outfit composed with one of my favorite shorts from Antik Batik and these Bimba & Lola sandals that I liked so much, I bought in two different colors.

Summer has come to an end, welcoming my favorite season of the year.
This is my goodbye to summer posts, introducing EPIC hotel in Brickell Miami.
I have shared some of my favorite spots in Miami in my last few posts.
Don't worry, due to some unexpected life changes, I will be back sooner than I thought and I'll continue to share my secret little corners, my favorite lunch, dinner and party spots in case you are ever in town.

Mandarin Oriental is by far one of my favorite hotels in Miami.
Aside from an all in all perfect place, service, location, and what not, Mandarin Oriental also invited us to try their spa and treated us with a very relaxing couples massage.

A VERY special thank you to LA MAR, for hosting us and giving us the chance of trying their exquisite and some of the best peruvian food I have ever had. Everything was absolutely incredible. I can't decide if the Nikkei Causa or the Arroz Chaufa Aeropuerto were my favorite dishes.
The quinoa and lucuma dessert was a mouth explosion and mix of flavors that couldn't have gone better together.
I can't wait to be back!

Though Miami has endless amounts of beaches, with endless amounts of people, it's always nice to get away from the crowds and create your own little place in an empty Miami Beach beach.
Of course, you're more likely to find this peace and quite if you head North.
Just pack a little snack- some pink lemonade, cheese strings, Chex mix and some hummus with pita chips and you're set for the day.
My best fiend from Kuwait, her sister, another of my best friends from Venezuela; Hugo, my boyfriend and I had the beach almost all to ourselves before heading over to Aventura Mall.
There's a reason my dad always called miami "Marmol..."
(Del Mar al Mall...)

The next few posts will all be summer throwbacks and a little trip to some of my favorite stops and spots these past summer months.

The Viceroy hotel, though for my taste, a little too overwhelming, specially when it comes to decoration and all the "fansy-ness" that comes within, still is a wonderful place to stay if you're around Brickell.

Here are some pictures in the pool area, of course, my favorite place to be at while in a hotel during summer.

For me, The Ritz Carlton in Key Biscayne is one of the closest things to home.
I know it since before it was born (my apartment was in the building next to it) and so, ever since I can remember, it's been one of the places where I spent most of my summers and where I have an endless amount of memories.
I even had my first underwater kiss in one of their pools where we would sneak in at night to jump of the waterfalls.
Every time I go back to Miami, it is still a must-stop, must-visit and though it is a bit run down, it never ceases to amaze me.

There's the classic and oh-so-typicall LBD and then there are long, endless cleavaged, not to mention, see through black dresses.
Of course, I did not notice the see through part until I was at a super market and every other person would look at me as if I were naked.
Thank goodness it was while in Miami, where it's excusable to walk around in very little clothing, or seeminglessly naked.

REALLY, there's no need, no need whatsoever to ever take life seriously, but, the most important thing to never take seriously... is yourself.
Being able to laugh at yourself, to accept your imperfections, your flaws, to know that, OK, as cliche as it may sound, you're not perfect, at least not the idea and definition of what perfect is to you or to any other individual - it sets you free, free of caring... and there are few things you should be caring about. What others think of you, shouldn't be one of them.
What others think of you, is
1. none of your business
2. not your fault
3. not up to you
To each, his owncada loco con su tema; you do you and I'll do me...
and there's no better feeling than that of knowing that you are OK with being and doing and acting and feeling as you do when you do because you do.

Does any of this even make sense?

 photo IMG_1202JPG_effected_zpsa63a5cac.jpg

While in Miami I had the chance of staying at some of the most beautiful places.
By far, one of my most memorable and epic stays was at ONE BAL HARBOUR.
From the guys that work at the valet parking (which always had a smile on their faces and were willing to lend a hand) to an amazing cloud like bed, T.V. in the bathroom, a beautiful tub with incredible views of the ocean, some of the most delicious soaps and shampoo by the brand Molton Brown (which I fell in love with and ended up buying at the airport Duty Free); to an incredible welcome with a bottle of wine, brie cheese and crackers.
Oh, they really had me at BRIE cheese. (Not for any particular reason other than the fact that I am the most obsessive person over cheese, and when it comes to's another level).
One of the things I am extremely strict with when it comes to staying at hotels is feeling the closest possible to home, at least in the hygiene sense.
I have left hotels before because I didn't feel it was impeccable enough but that was most definitely not an issue at ONE
Everything was right in place. I even got macaroons on my bed side table every night.

After a while, we come to terms with ourselves and figure out that everything we ever thought is just a minimal part of what may, could or will happen.
Day to day we evolve, we change though we stay the same, we grow, we grow older, wiser, sometimes more cynical, sometimes to our disadvantage. Some people go in retrospect, some people gain fear as they gain knowledge, others just learn to accept things, to dare, to risk.
When was the last time you took a risk?

A month ago, before heading to Miami, my friend Sequoia Ziff and I put together this editorial for Free People.

 photo 20140714_7531_zps82df80cf.jpg

Have you ever had that feeling, that feeling of not knowing what to feel? When there are too many options, when your head is filled with ideas, when your dreams seem too big yet somehow reachable, when you're in a good place but have the need to risk, to feel more, to see what happens? Yet, you get scared and doubt?
I'm sure I'm not alone here, and what a wonderful feeling it is too feel so much, to be confused, to always want to want, want to feel, feel to want more, but how damn complicated it is to figure out what to do with all that jazz.
Life is like a game of chess, they say, you just have to figure out the right moves, keep on moving no matter what; think with your head, follow your instincts, and sometimes, just sometimes, hear what your heart has to say.
You see, if only I could share with you everything that goes on in my head, everything my heart wants and my head argues, or vice versa, I would, but I don't want to bore you with sentimental things, so let's focus on this differently shaped yet also neoprene-like oversized skirt and my new partners in crime, these never ending platform wedges.
Oh, and these views...

Last month, together with Zequoia Ziff, my California girl and a genius behind the camera, we went to one of both our favorite coffee places in Madrid, Toma cafe and shot another outfit I picked out for my collaboration with Springfield.
A mix of pandas and stars put together with a parka and my new pair of sneakers that I can't seem to stop wearing.

More on my collaboration with Springfield here.

A few weeks ago Springfield contacted me to let me know they had picked me as their blogger of the month and as a result I could go to my nearest Springfield store to pick out 3 different outfits.

The first outfit I put together with Springfield is this comfy, classic combination of mom jeans, white shirt and a checkered farmer shirt on top.
Of course, because it's me and because I couldn't help myself, I transformed a scarf into a headband to close up the look together with a brown tote bag.

Ever since, I have not been wearing anything else than these pants, sneakers and bag, the everyday basics I now can't go without.

For all the details you can check out their page here.
